There is a simple fact of life that the U.S. Congress has violated more than they violate the Constitution. The two violations go hand in hand.
People who cannot create wealth cannot manage wealth.
The short and simple reason for redistributing wealth is to transfer it from the competent hands and minds of those who earn it, guard it and manage it wisely, to the incompetent hands of people who cannot earn it, will not guard it and fail utterly to manage it wisely.
Only in this way can predators plunder the wealth of the nation. Whether the plunderers are wall street magnates or politicians is immaterial. The complete and sole reason for redistribution of wealth is to make it accessible to predators.
All of the rhetoric about “helping the poor”, is just the facade used to gull hard working people into accepting their abusive legislation.
If anyone really wants to help the poor, they will rescind and revoke all wealth redistribution legislation. Hard working, honest people are generous with charities. Most charities are experts at helping the poor and know how to do it without creating poverty traps like welfare which doom the poor to chronic poverty.
As I sat to write this blog, I noticed a friend had sent me a link to an article that explains it in great detail, thus saving me all of that work:
Greedy Bastard Economics: http://mises.org/story/3752
I can’t say it any better, so I won’t squander my time trying.
